Terms & Conditions

By booking a service with Akari Cleaning ("we", "our", "us"), you ("the Client", "you") agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Services
Akari Cleaning provides residential cleaning services within Adelaide and surrounding service areas. Services may include regular cleaning, deep cleaning, end-of-tenancy cleaning and related home care services.
Specific inclusions and exclusions of each service will be communicated at the time of booking.
2. SERVICE LIMITATIONS
Unless expressly agreed in writing, Akari Cleaning does not provide:.
- lifting or moving of heavy furniture or appliances
- removal of hazardous materials, bodily fluids or biohazardous waste
- pest control services
- mould remediation beyond general surface cleaning
- electrical, plumbing or maintenance services
Akari Cleaning reserves the right to decline tasks outside the agreed scope of work.
3. Bookings
Bookings may be made through our website, email, phone, social media or other approved channels.
All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.
Akari Cleaning reserves the right to decline service requests at our discretion.
4. Quotations & Pricing
Akari Cleaning provides transparent, fixed pricing based on the property details and service selections submitted at the time of booking.
Pricing generated through our website is based on the information supplied by the Client, including:
- number of bedrooms
- number of bathrooms
- selected service type
- frequency of service
- selected add-ons
- property condition and cleaning requirements
The quoted price assumes that the property is in a condition consistent with a standard residential clean for the selected service.
Additional charges may only apply where:
- information provided at booking is materially inaccurate
- additional rooms, areas or tasks are requested
- excessive cleaning requirements are identified, including significant buildup, mould, excessive pet hair, construction dust or unusually heavy soiling
- specialised services outside the original booking scope are required
Where additional work is identified, Akari Cleaning will discuss any required pricing adjustments and obtain approval before proceeding wherever reasonably practicable.
No additional charges will be applied without prior discussion and client approval.
5. Payment
Payment is due on completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Accepted payment methods:
- Bank transfer (BSB and Account Number provided on invoice)
- Secure online card payments via our website payment provider
If payment remains outstanding, Akari Cleaning may:
- issue payment reminders via email, SMS or phone
- send a final notice requesting payment within a specified timeframe
- withhold future bookings and services until outstanding balances are paid
- pursue reasonable debt recovery action where necessary
Any costs reasonably incurred in recovering outstanding amounts may be sought where permitted by applicable law.
Akari Cleaning will always attempt to resolve payment issues professionally and in good faith before commencing formal recovery action.
6. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Clients may cancel or reschedule bookings without charge if at least 24 hours' notice is provided.
Bookings cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment may incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the scheduled service amount.
Failure to provide access to the property at the agreed appointment time may be treated as a late cancellation.
Akari Cleaning reserves the right to waive cancellation fees at our discretion.
7. Access to Property
Clients are responsible for providing safe and timely access to the property.
Where keys, access codes or instructions are provided:
- information will be kept confidential
- reasonable care will be taken in handling access details
Akari Cleaning is not responsible for delays caused by inaccessible properties.
8. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
- provide accurate booking information
- ensure a safe working environment
- disclose known hazards, pets, fragile items or maintenance concerns
- secure valuables and sensitive items
9. Safety
Akari Cleaning reserves the right to refuse or stop work where:
- conditions are unsafe
- there are aggressive animals
- hazardous materials are present
- there are health or safety risks
Fees may still apply where work cannot proceed due to unsafe conditions.
10. Satisfaction Policy
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of the service, please notify us within 24 hours of the service being completed.
We may, at our discretion, return to address reasonable concerns where appropriate.
Refunds are not automatically provided and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights or remedies available under Australian Consumer Law.
11. Liability
Akari Cleaning will take reasonable care while performing services.
To the extent permitted by law:
- we are not responsible for pre-existing damage
- we are not responsible for wear and tear, deterioration or faulty fixtures
- we are not responsible for damage resulting from unstable, improperly secured or defective items
Any concerns relating to accidental damage should be reported within 24 hours of service completion so that the matter can be investigated promptly.
12. Insurance
Akari Cleaning maintains public liability insurance appropriate to its services. Proof of insurance may be provided upon request.
13. Photographs & Video Content
Photographs and video content may occasionally be captured for quality assurance, training, operational purposes or marketing and promotional activities.
Akari Cleaning will take reasonable care to avoid capturing identifying personal information or sensitive items. No identifying information will be shared without prior consent.
Clients may request that no photographs or video content be captured during the service, and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests.
14. Privacy
Personal information collected through bookings, enquiries and website forms will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
15. Changes to Terms
Akari Cleaning reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
Updated terms will be published on our website.
16. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of South Australia and applicable Commonwealth laws of Australia.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights or remedies available under Australian Consumer Law.
